Photo Album: Wheelchair Full of Bed Bugs in Freehold, NJ
A wheelchair-bound man living in a senior facility in Freehold, NJ had recently discovered he was being bitten by bed bugs.
Not Just the Bed
After a thorough inspection of his apartment, we found bedbugs on his bed frame. Now, just because they're called bed bugs does not mean they only live in beds. We took one look at his wheelchair and decided to inspect it.
Bingo! Bed Bugs
We took a closer look and found bed bugs in all the crevices of his wheelchair. The fact that he sits in that chair all day is a great place for the bed bugs to live. They can pop right out and get a meal at any time before going back into hiding under the wheelchair.
Utmost Care When Treating
Seeing as he sits in the chair chair 90% of the time, we had to treat it with the upmost safety. We thoroughly vacuumed the chair before applying a steam application to all of the cracks and crevices.
Safe, Effective Treatment
Once the wheelchair was vacuumed and steamed, we used a very low impact product that is 100% safe to treat all of the areas where the bugs were seen throughout the apartment and the wheelchair.
Return for a Follow Up
We scheduled several follow-up inspections to monitor the bed bug infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
