Photo Album: Fruit Flies Bothering Restaurant Crew in New Brunswick, NJ
A restaurant owner in New Brunswick, NJ had a significant fruit fly infestation in his kitchen.
Hovering by the Floor Drains
I noticed that the fruit flies were hovering near several floor drains.
Dirty Drains
When I inspected, I found that the floor drains were filled with liquid debris and discarded food. These are all attractants to the fruit flies.
Scrubbed Out
I scrubbed out each drain, treated them with a liquid product that removes the bad bacteria, and then applied a bio-foam solution.
How the Bio-Foam Works
The bio-foam solution eliminates all fly-attracting odors in the drains.
Cleaned
Now the floor drains are cleaned and the fruit flies are eliminated.
Cleanliness is Key
Before leaving, I spoke with the owner and suggested implementing a new cleaning and sanitizing protocol to prevent the fruit flies from reinfesting the restaurant.
