Photo Album: Heavy German Cockroach Infestation in Freehold, NJ
A multi-family building in Freehold, NJ had a heavy German cockroach infestation in the trash room.
Throughout the Garbage Room
The main German cockroach infestation was located in the garbage room.
In the Walls
The cockroaches were harboring inside the walls.
Attracted to the Garbage
The cockroaches were mainly attracted to all the garbage and sticky liquids in the room.
First The Glue Boards
After the maintenance team cleared the room, I placed glue boards throughout the area, which will help me monitor the infestation.
IGR
After placing the glue boards, I applied a liquid growth regulator which prevents the cockroaches from molting to their reproduction stage, which drastically reduces their numbers.
Knocking Them Down
I then applied a knockdown product, which also exterminates the German cockroaches.
Chase Them Out
I then flushed the cockroaches out of hiding and into the growth regulator using an oil based product. I made sure to treat all the openings and cracks in the trash room.
Cockroaches Exterminated
With a combination of the growth regulator and the knockdown product, in a short amount of time, the cockroaches will be eliminated. I'll return on several follow up inspections to monitor the infestation and apply any additional treatments if needed.
