Photo Album: DIY Pigeon Exclusion Goes South in Jackson, NJ
A homeowner in Jackson, NJ tried a DIY exclusion set-up to prevent pigeons from roosting under his solar panels. Sadly, it did not work out in his favor.
Improperly Installed
The homeowner tried to install hardware cloth under the solar panels, but it wasn't done properly.
Birds Were Still Roosting
The material used is the wrong type to exclude the pigeons and they were still nesting under the solar panels.
Out With the Old
So we removed the old stuff and the nesting materials and then disinfected the area.
Solar Panel Exclusion Kit
Next, we installed a Solar Panel Exclusion Kit around the perimeter of the solar panels.
A Sturdy, Physical Barrier
This creates a physical barrier to keep pigeons as well as all nuisance birds from accessing and nesting underneath the solar panels.
A Physical Deterrant
The pigeons will no longer be attracted to the home and the solar panels will be protected from further intrusions from all types of birds and nuisance wildlife.
