Photo Album: Spider Surprise in North Brunswick, NJ
As I was changing the bait in one of our rodent bait stations for a commercial account in North Brunswick, NJ, I was greeted by a black widow!
Hello There
As soon as I opened up the bait station, this little fellow was waiting to greet me!
The Red Hourglass
Black widow spiders are usually black in color and are most recognized for the red hourglass shape on the underside of their abdomen.
Great Harborage Spot
Our rodent bait stations are excellent places for a black widow to harbor. The bait stations are secure, dark, and bugs love to crawl through them, which makes it easy for spiders to get food and keep their baby's safe.
Black Widow Down
I applied a direct contact knockdown liquid to the black widow and its egg sac, which will rapidly exterminate both of them.
Treated Around the Property
I also treated their garage and all entrance ways (including around the lights where spiders like to make webs to catch insects that are drawn to the light) with a liquid residual to prevent future spider infestations.
