Photo Album: Large German Wasp Nest in Eatontown, NJ
While performing a routine inspection for a Home Protection Plan customer in Eatontown, NJ, I stumbled upon a shocking discovery.
Wasp Nest in Attic
As I was inspecting the home, I noticed a few wasps flying around the stairs to the attic. I decided to investigate further and that's when I found a large German wasp nest in the corner of the attic!
What Are German Wasps
German wasps are social stinging insects that look almost identical to the common wasp, but has three tiny black dots on its face.
Freeze Them!
With my bee suit equipped, I used an aerosol application that freezes and neutralizes the angry wasps almost immediately.
Attacking Their Entrance
Afterwards, I treated the hole the German wasps were entering from (which was through a spot light in the soffit) with an aerosol residual. After a short while, I used a premium, waterproof adhesive to seal up that opening.
Bagged and Removed
I then removed the nest, cleaned the area, and properly disposed of the nest.
