Photo Album: Community in East Brunswick, NJ Terrorized by Bald-Faced Hornets
A property manager of a community in East Brunswick, NJ called our office after one of her residents was stung several times by bald-faced hornets.
Caution Tape
When we arrived we saw the area was marked with caution tape. We equipped our bee suit and found a basketball sized bald-faced hornets nest hiding in the branches.
Large Nest Means Large Infestation
Bald-faced hornets build paper nests that can be as large as 14 inches in diameter, more than 24 inches in length, and contain (at their peak) over 400, short-tempered members.
Cowleys Extermination of Bald-Faced Hornets
We used our extendable pole and treated the nest with a knockdown liquid product. This treatment will eliminate the bald-faced hornets rapidly.
Cut it Down
Once the activity ceased, we removed the nest and the branches the nest was attached to and properly disposed of them. The community is one again safe from stinging insects.
