Photo Album: Homeowner Sent to Hospital from Yellow Jacket Stings in Red Bank, NJ
An elderly resident in a condo association in Red Bank, NJ tried to get rid of a yellow jackets nest on her own, and unfortunately, it didn't go in her favor.
Tried To Plug It
The resident saw the yellow jackets coming out of a hole in the ceiling of the living room and tried plug it with a paper towel. Unfortunately, she got stung multiple times and had to be sent to the emergency room.
Up in the Attic
We investigated and realized that the nest was up in the attic.
Under the Insulation
Once up in the attic, we had to remove some of the insulation in order to find the nest and properly treat it. Once we did, we applied a residual aerosol product, waited a few minutes and then applied a dusting application. Both of these products will eliminate the yellow jackets almost immediately.
Exterminated
Once all the yellow jackets were neutralized, we removed the nest, disposed of it, and cleaned up the area.
Manangement Will Patch It
After everything was done, we went to the Management Office and told them that all the yellow jackets were eliminated. They then sent out a crew to patch the hole in the living room.
