Photo Album: New Home Filled with Bed Bugs in Long Branch, NJ
Two weeks after moving in, a new homeowner in Long Branch, NJ, discovered that her newly acquired property was filled with bed bugs!
Little Speck in the Corner
As we inspected the home, we noticed a few, tiny brown specs in the corner of one the bedrooms. A closer inspection revealed that they were bed bugs.
Isolated in One Room
After completing our inspection, we determined that the bed bugs were harboring in just this one room of the house, but it might not be a bad idea to do a preventative treatment in the other rooms just in case something was lingering in the walls. The homeowner agreed and we went to work!
Bed Bug Removal Step 1
First, we vacuumed the entire house from top to bottom. Vacuuming is one of the most effective ways to remove the bed bugs.
Bed Bug Removal Step 2
After vacuuming, we applied a residual dust inside all of the outlet and light switch receptacles. This treatment rapidly exterminates the bed bugs.
Last Step of the Bed Bug Process
Lastly, we applied a liquid application to all the harborage areas throughout the home that would take care of any bed bugs that may come out of hiding.
One More Thing
After everything was completed, we scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the activity and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
