Photo Album: Multiple Openings Means Multiple Mice Infestations in Old Bridge, NJ
An elderly couple in Old Bridge, NJ had mice throughout their home and were curious as to why they had such a large infestation.
Gaps Full of Presents
I began inspecting and found several large gaps and openings around several utility pipes, basement windows, and in the foundation that were filled with droppings. As I took a closer look, I was able to identify them as mouse droppings.
Tiniest Opening is an Entrance
Even a small gap around the hose was filled with droppings! Mice only need an opening the width of a pencil to enter a home. I also found more mouse droppings in the basement, living room, and dining room. This was a large mouse infestation.
Block Their Entrances
After carefully cleaning up the droppings, I'm going to plug every single opening on the exterior and interior of the home with chew-proof steel mesh and then seal it in place with a waterproof adhesive.
RTU Bait Stations
I also placed several interior Ready-to-Use rodent bait stations throughout the home as well as placed several exterior rodent bait stations along the perimeter of the home. Due to the large infestation, I scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and replenish the bait station.
