Photo Album: Fascia Board Ravaged by Carpenter Bees in Toms River, NJ
This homeowner in Toms River, NJ called Cowleys after discovering a massive infestation of carpenter bees in the fascia board on the side of her home.
Fascia Board Destroyed
We arrived and immediately noticed the high activity of carpenter bees on the side of the home. We also discovered that the fascia board was badly damaged and needed to be replaced. We immediately treated the area with a dusting residual, which will exterminate the carpenter bees almost immediately and prevent new carpenter bees from re-infesting the area.
Replace the Fascia Board
Some time later, we removed the badly damaged fascia board and replaced it with a brand new one.
Metal Flashing
Since carpenter bees mainly bore holes in unfinished wood, we encased the newly installed fascia board with sturdy metal flashing. That way it is protected from any future intrusions from pests and nuisance wildlife.
