Photo Album: Closet Full of Mice in Asbury Park, NJ
While servicing a home of one of our Home Protection Plan customers in Asbury Park, NJ, I found a large number of mice droppings in the closet.
Opened the Closet
As I was treating the home, I inspected the closet and found a plethora of mice droppings. There are several diseases concerning mice droppings, one of which is Hantavirus.
The Pipe Chases
I inspected the area and noticed several gaps around the pipe chases inside the closet as well as along the exterior of the home. This is how the mice were entering the home.
Plugged Them & Sealed Them
I carefully cleaned the area and plugged every gap and potential opening with chew-proof, stainless steel mesh. Once they were stuffed, I sealed all the gaps with a premium, waterproof adhesive.
The Bait Stations
I also placed several Ready-to-Use rodent bait stations in the closet, the basement area, and along the exterior of the home. I scheduled a follow-up visit to monitor the infestation, apply any additional treatments (if needed), and replenish the bait stations.
