Photo Album: Tenant Screams Cockroaches in Long Branch, NJ
A landlord of an apartment complex that we service in Long Branch, NJ recently called our office to let us know that a tenant was having an issue with German cockroaches.
Pictures Worth a 1000 Cockroaches
When I arrived, the tenant mentioned that she had been seeing German cockroaches around her sink. I began inspecting with my flashlight and noticed that there were some pictures on the wall directly above the sink. As I started to pull them down, cockroaches came scurrying out.
Quickly Vacuumed Them Up
I quickly grabbed my vacuum and began vacuuming all of the live cockroaches.
Fecal Stains on the Wall
Once everything was vacuumed I began to clean the wall where the cockroaches were nesting. There were large amounts of fecal stains which tends to look like pepper.
Lure Them Out
When everything was clean I inspected the cracks and crevices inside all of the cabinets, around the refrigerator, and microwave. I used a gel bait inside the cabinets to lure any cockroaches which were deep in hiding.
Cockroaches Exterminated
Lastly, I applied a light liquid application to the pipe chases as well as the baseboards. The superintendent and the tenant were absolutely thrilled that we took the extra steps to make sure that the cockroaches were immediately removed from the apartment.
