Photo Album: Flying Squirrels Waking Up Homeowners in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
A new customer in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ kept hearing noises in her attic throughout all night and day and suspected that she had a squirrel problem. Unsure and afraid of what she'll find, she called Cowleys for help.
Well That's How
As we inspected the roof we discovered a tiny chewed out hole. A closer look told us that flying squirrels were taking up residency in this attic. Additionally, we found out that the flying squirrels were also entering the home through the ridge vent and a gap in the roofline.
Sealed Off and Set Up
We temporarily sealed off all access points and installed a one-way over the main access point. The one-way allows the squirrels to safely exit the home but prevents them from getting back in.
Evicted!
After all the flying squirrels were safely evicted, we sanitized the attic, removed the one-way and properly sealed up the area with Critter Guard and the ridge vent with a product called Ridge-Guard®.
What is Ridge-Guard®?
Ridge-Guard® is a system for guarding against animal entry at the roof ridge.
Secured and Safe in Place
Ridge-Guard® is screwed down by self sealing screws, but we secured it with a premium, waterproof adhesive to ensure we have a waterproof seal. We screwed in every 16 inches to make sure we get a nice, secure fit.
No More Squirrels!
Now the flying squirrels are safely removed and the roof ridge will prevent all nuisance wildlife from invading the home.
