Photo Album: German Cockroaches Can't Hide from Cowleys
Concentrated in the Kitchen
Cockroaches harbor in areas close to a food or water source, so the kitchen is where we began inspecting. Sure enough, that's where we found them!
Up High and Down Low
We noticed only a few cockroaches scurrying along the kitchen cabinets and down by the sink area, which means more are hiding. Since cockroaches prefer moving around in the dark and at night, if you see a cockroach in daylight, you should suspect an infestation.
The IGR
After completing our inspection we applied a liquid residual mixed with an Insect Growth Regular (IGR) throughout the entire kitchen and along the cabinets.
How the IGR Works
The insect growth regulator stops the cockroaches' ability to reproduce. This way we can reduce the population to a more manageable level.
Can't Hide From Us
Afterwards, we treated all the cracks and crevices with a flushing agent. This forces the cockroaches out of hiding and into the growth regulator we applied. We also placed gel bait in the corners of the cabinets and under the sink area.
Eradicated
The treatment was a success and in a short time, dozens of cockroaches were eradicated. The last step is to schedule a follow-up inspection so we can return, assess the situation, and apply any additional treatments if needed.
