Photo Album: Bed Bugs: From the Sofa to the Bed & Everywhere in Between in Matawan, NJ
Bed bugs are not a common insect that can be eliminated easily on your own. To tell the truth, no pest is easy to remove on your own, but bed bugs are on a different level that needs to be taken care of by professionals.
Stains on the Sheet
As soon as we pulled off the sheets in the bedroom, we found fresh fecal stains from bed bugs all over the mattress.
In the Guards
We found live bed bugs and their eggs in the corners of the mattress, in the plastic guard protectors, and in the pillows.
Even on the End Table
As we continued inspecting the bedroom, we found plethora of bed bugs harboring underneath the end table.
More & More
We continued inspecting the home and found even more in the crevices of the sofa. Bed bugs harbor in areas close to a blood meal, which can be mattresses, sofas, recliners, chairs, and even end tables.
An Interesting Discovery
While traveling in the hallway between the bedroom and living room, we noticed a particular dirty outlet. We took a closer look and discovered that the "dirt" was actually more bed bugs feces. They were harboring inside the electrical outlet!
Step One: Vacuum Them All Up
We grabbed our vacuums and removed the bed bug and their eggs from all the harborage areas.
Step Two: The Residual
We then applied a liquid residual in all the cracks & crevice areas throughout the home. The residual will rapidly eliminate the bed bugs.
Powder the Wall Voids
Next, we applied a powder residual, which works exactly like the liquid residual, to all the outlets and wall voids.
Encasing the Bed
We also placed a mattress encasement over the mattress and the box spring. The encasements guarantee that nothing will be able to get in or out of the mattress or the box spring and whatever is inside will be trapped and eventually starve.
The Last Step
Lastly, we scheduled two follow-up visits to monitor the bed bug infestation, repeat the same process and apply any additional treatment methods as needed.
