Photo Album: Bed Bugs in Asbury Park

One of today's appointments was a bedbug treatment in Asbury park.  Jon Stinnet and I were excited for the challenging job of locating and eradicating the troublesome bedbugs from a lovely senior citizens apartment.  When Jon and myself entered the residents home we interviewed her to find out when and where she felt she was getting bites. She let us know that she has woken up several times in the morning to find small blood spotting and bites on her body.  Jon and I knew it was time to get to work. We slowly took the sheets off of the bed one corner at a time so we could inspect to see if there was any activity. We didn't find anything on the sheets. We placed the sheets into a clean plastic bag for the resident to wash and dry on high heat. We then proceeded to stand the mattress up and inspect all of the tufts and seams.  Eureka, jackpot! We found several adult and nymph bedbugs nesting under the mattress. With the use of our HEPA vac we were able to vacuum all live activity. We proceeded with a light chemical application to all the tufts and seams of the mattress.  Our job was not done there. We then stood up the box-spring, removed the cheesecloth and did a thorough inspection to all the crack and crevice areas. We vacuumed all live bugs then applied a light chemical application on the bed-frame, box spring and surrounding areas. Jon and myself felt very comfortable and confident that we had rid the bedbug population from her apartment.  We have a follow-up appointment scheduled in two weeks.  The resident was very happy with the work done and so grateful! It truly made our day to make her happy.
