Recently, we were sent out on a bed bug service call for a homeowner in Belmar, NJ.
In the Couch
During our inspection we found a thriving colony of bed bugs harboring in the cracks of the couch.
Under Pressure
Bed bugs like to hide in tight, enclosed areas close to a blood meal and where they can feel pressure on both sides of their body. This includes inside wall outlets, cracks in furniture, bed frames, and rugs.
First Things First
After showing the homeowner where the bed bugs were hiding, he immediately told us to throw away the couch. So we carefully wrapped up the couch and properly disposed of it.
Next, You Gotta Vacuum
Afterwards, we vacuumed in between all the cracks and crevices in every piece of furniture in the home as well as the wall voids.
Residual
Finally, we applied a liquid residual that'll eliminate the bed bugs almost immediately. We're going to return on a follow up visit to check up on the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatment methods.
