Photo Album: Exposed Gaps in Building is an Invitation for Mice in New Brunswick, NJ
Recently, I went on a service call for a homeowner in New Brunswick, NJ who was having an issue with mice in his home.
Space in the Conduit
As I began inspecting I noticed a gap in the electrical conduit that was wide enough for mice to enter. Due to their skeletal structure, mice can fit through a crack about the width of a pencil.
Stuffed, Sealed, Safe
Mice can even fit through openings as small as this! To remedy this, we are going to stuff all access points with copper mesh (which mice & rats HATE the taste of) and then seal it up with a premium adhesive/sealant. This combination will prevent mice from using that access point again.
Gaps in the Backdoor
As we inspected the garage door we noticed there was a gap between the door and the ground. Another easily accessible access point for mice. To remedy this, we placed an Xcluderâ„¢ Pest Control Door Sweep, which provides a barrier that is virtually impenetrable to rodents and other pests.
Presents in the Crawl Space
As we inspected the crawl space we found an abundant amount of mice droppings, which present a serious health hazard for the homeowners. We placed several ready-to-use rodent bait stations throughout the crawl space.
And Along the Exterior
And set-up several RTU's throughout the exterior. We will return in two weeks to replenish the bait stations, monitor the infestation, and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
