Photo Album: American Cockroaches in Saddlebrook, NJ
Today's journey brings me to Saddlebrook, New Jersey, to one of our premier commercial accounts that gets the occasional American cockroach invasion. With the use of glue boards we can determine which direction the roaches are traveling leading us to determining where they're coming from.
Upon inspection I found the roaches were coming out of a floor drain below their triple sink, that was two feet from our properly placed glue boards. I quickly grabbed my B&G hand pump sprayer and went to work applying a simple pesticide application. This treatment method will curb the roach population and prevent the birth of future generations. Sanitation is rarely ever the cause of American roaches, this account happens to be very clean. As long as there is moisture and heat you'll quickly find that American roaches will thrive. For now, the problem is solved, and I look forward to the follow up visit to check my new glue boards to see no further activity.
