Photo Album: Preemptive Sanitation Treatment for Drain Flies in Freehold, NJ
While I was servicing one of our commercial accounts in Freehold, NJ, I noticed a few sanitation issues.
Dirty Drains
While I was inspecting the bar area I noticed that several of the drains had a build-up of gunk and debris.
Conducive Conditions for Drain Flies
These dirty drains are the perfect breeding areas for drain flies. Drain flies, sometimes called sewer flies, are tiny insects that feed off and lay their eggs in the accumulated "muck" that builds up in drains.
Scrub, Clean, and Foam
After removing all the gunk, I sanitized the drain by applying a liquid application that removes the bad bacteria. Then I applied a bio-foam solution that eliminates the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains.
Here's What You Need to Do
After treating the drains, I talked to the bar manager and gave him some simple, yet effective, tips to prevent the drains from building up with discarded debris.
