This customer in Brick, NJ spotted a few cave crickets in her family room. Terrified, she called Cowleys to remove them.
They Weren't Just in the Family Room
As I arrived and began inspecting the family room, I spotted a few cave crickets. Since cave crickets (commonly called sprickets) typically thrive in dark, moist environments, I continued my inspection to the crawl space. Sure enough, the entire crawl space was INFESTED with cave crickets.
All Along the Pipes
Turns out, the cave crickets were traveling up to the living room through the pipes. After sealing up all the access points, I applied a granular bait and residual dust along the pipe chases and piping that comes up through the subflooring.
Here's What it Does
The residual dust is a contact dust that absorbs through the cave crickets exoskeleton. Once the cave crickets come in contact with either of the applications, they will be eliminated.
One More Step
As I finished dusting, I also placed several glue traps throughout the crawl space to catch any stray cave crickets.
