Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornets Tough Out the Cold in Toms River, NJ
I went out on a service call for a homeowner in Toms River, NJ who called our office petrified that he had termites in his home. Although we found no evidence of termites, I did find an active bald-faced hornets nest.
During My Inspection
As I was inspecting the exterior of the home I found a bald-faced hornets nest in a tree in the backyard and it was ACTIVE!
The Last Few
If the nest isn't removed the hornets will return in the warmer weather and create a dangerous situation for the homeowner and her kids.
Remove the Problem
Using my extendable pole, I applied a foaming application to the nest. This application neutralizes the hornets almost immediately.
Now It's Safe
I then removed the nest and the branch it was attached to and properly disposed of them.
