Photo Album: Yellow Jackets Terrorize HVAC Technician in Eatontown, NJ
We were sent out to a home in Eatontown, NJ after the owner reported that his HVAC technician was getting stung by yellow jackets.
Swarming Near the Concrete
As we began our inspection, we noticed that a number of yellowjackets were swarming near the A/C unit. A closer inspection revealed that the yellowjackets had built a nest underneath the concrete pad!
Not An Unusual Spot
Yellowjackets will build nests in cracks and gaps in concrete, siding, under bushes and shrubbery. They can sense any vibrations in the ground and will aggressively defend their nests, delivering painful stings.
Massive Infestation
Continuing the inspection, we discovered a massive amount of yellowjacekts in the condensation drip line!
Blast Them
First, we treated the nest with an aerosol knockdown application (which eliminates the yellowjackets almost immediately) and followed up with a blast of a dusting application.
Complete Elimination
Once the yellowjackets begin to groom themselves, while covered in the dusting application, they ingest the application. In no time at all they will be eliminated. We also removed the nest, properly disposed of it, and removed and cleaned out the condensation drip line.
