Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornets Threaten Kids at Bus Stop in Waretown, NJ
A homeowner in Waretown, NJ called our office after finding a bald-faced hornet's nest.
Spotted the Nest
Beginning my inspection I located the nest hanging on a tree branch in the front yard. I took a closer look and identified it as a bald-faced hornets nest.
Kids in Danger
Bald-faced hornets are extremely territorial and will sting anything that comes close to their nest. The fact that this nest was located by the children's bus stop makes it a dangerous situation for the kids!
Take it Down
I equipped my protective bee suit and applied an aerosol application directly into the entrance of the nest.
Terminated
This application neutralizes the hornets on contact.
Kids Are Now Safe
After a few minutes I removed the nest and the branch it was attached to and properly disposed of them. Now the children are no longer in danger of getting stung by hornets!
