While performing service for one of Home Protection Plan clients I spotted some pesky pavement ants trailing on the property.
Ants in the Pavement, Asbury Park, NJ
As I began treating the right side of the home, I spotted a few pavement ants trailing in between the cracks in the pavement.
Here's the Info on Pavement Ants from Cowleys Pest Services
Pavement ants, also called sugar ants, are only 1/8 to 1/16 on an inch in size, are brown to black in color, and nest under pavement (hence their name).
All the Way Inside in Asbury Park
The pavement ants were marching from the neighboring house, all the way across the homeowners property, and finding refuge in the kitchen!
Corral the Ants with Cowleys Pest Services
I corralled the ants into a group and applied a liquid residual along their trail as well as along the entire exterior perimeter of the home. Inside the home, I applied the liquid residual as well as an ant gel bait in the cracks, crevices, and baseboards in the kitchen. Once ants come in contact with either of these applications they will carry it back to their colony and transfer it among the other ants, including the queen. In a short amount of time, the colony is eliminated.
