Before I began my inspection the homeowner stated that he had a ceiling fan recently installed and the contractor performing the job notified him of a lot of ants in the attic. So I began inspecting the attic.
Ants Under the Insulation in Neptune
After a thorough inspection, I found two ant colonies under the insulation and trailing in multiple different directions.

I first treated the colonies and trails with a residual aerosol application so that they would perish as they track through the application over time. I also applied a granular ant bait in targeted locations. Once the ants come in contact with any of these treatments, they'll share it with the colony through grooming and feeding. In a short amount of time, the entire colony is eliminated.

I also treated the baseboards, cracks, and crevices on the interior as well as the exterior of the foundation, around the windows and under the siding of the perimeter of the home to create a double barrier against pest invaders.
