Photo Album: One Long Pavement Ant Trail Invades Multiple Businesses in Freehold, NJ
One of Cowleys commercial accounts, a diner in Freehold, NJ was seeing ants on some of their tables inside. When I got there I saw the ants on the inside and decided to take the inspection and to the exterior.
A Long Trail
When I got to the exterior, I began looking in the same areas where they were seeing on the inside. What I found was pretty substantial - a pavement ant trail at least 100 yards long.
From One Building to the Next
They were coming from a mulch bed outside of the diner and walking 100 yards away from the building into another property.
The Best Treatment
The best course of action is to treat the trails with a light liquid application. The light liquid application will not deter the ants. We actually don't want to deter them. We want the ants to cross over what we apply and then carry it back to the nest where they will spread it amongst the colony.
Transfer Effect
Ants feed, groom, and even eat the dead within their own colonies. When this happens they transfer the product therefore spreading it quickly. Within a two-week time all of the ants will be gone as well as those that we didn't even know about. The business owner was very happy and grateful that we responded so quickly.
