Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornets Hiding in a Bush in Matawan, NJ
A new residential client in Matawan, NJ contacted Cowleys complaining of bees flying around their front door and front porch. Once I did an inspection, I determined that the homeowners didn't have a bee problem, but a bald-faced hornet problem!
Not Just a Bee's Nest
When I first got there I did not see any bees flying around, but within a couple of minutes, I found bald-faced hornets flying in and out of a bush not far from the front door.
Deep Inside
As I inspected the bush I found a nest deep inside of it. The nest was a little bit bigger than a softball.
Treat the Nest Directly
I put on my protective suit and treated the hornets nest with a residual foaming agent.
Knocks Them Down
This application immediately knocks-down the bald-faced hornets on contact.
Remove the Nest
After spraying in the nest and the surrounding parts of inside the bush, I removed the small branch that it was connected to and took it away. I also cleaned the area of any nest debris.
