Photo Album: Adding Blown-In Cellulose Insulation to an Attic in Brick, NJ
We were sent out on a service call for a homeowner in Brick, NJ who needed to add new insulation in his attic. When your attic lacks the proper attic insulation, it can lead to high heating and cooling costs, uncomfortable rooms, and even mold growth!
Poor Insulation is Costly
Improper attic insulation can lead to very expensive repairs and unnecessarily high utility bills.
Cellulose Insulation
In order to stop the stack effect in the home, we blew-in true soft cellulose for better insulation in the attic. The blown-in cellulose insulation can raise the insulation R-value to recommended conditions needed for your attic.
No Where to Vent
After adding the blown-in cellulose insulation, we installed a new ventilation hose in the attic, but needed somewhere for the air to vent.
Installed a New Vent
So we installed proper bathroom fan ventilation to the outside soffit. We placed hardware cloth on the inside of the vent cover and copper mesh to prevent rodents, birds, and squirrels from gaining access into the attic space.
