Ants on the Window Sill
After finding odorous house ants on the inside of the home, I began inspecting the exterior and found several ants on the window sill as well.
Crack in the Window Frames
Taking a closer look, I noticed that the caulking around the window frames was weathered and holding moisture.
Mulch Attracting Ants
The house also had a lot of mulch around it. Mulch holds an abundant amount of moisture, which will attract ants. I applied a liquid non-repellant application along the entire exterior of the property. For the interior, I applied a gel-bait application.
What Does the Treatment Do
When the odorous house ants come in contact with either the non-repellant application or the gel bait, they will transfer it among the entire colony. Similar to a virus, these applications spread rapidly throughout the colony and eliminate the ants.
