We were sent out on a service call to a new customers home in Bridgewater, NJ, to handle a cockroach infestation in her bedroom. How did they get there? Recently, the owner had several items delivered to her home from a warehouse. She brought them into her bedroom, not knowing that harboring in the crevices of the packages were a number of cockroaches! During our inspection, we found cockroaches, their eggs, and nymphs throughout the cracks, corners, and baseboards of the bedroom as well as in the windowsill. For treatment, we treated all the infested areas with a residual application that's combined with an EPA registered insect growth regulator. This application affects the reproductive system of the cockroaches and prevents them from reaching adulthood. Next, we treated the cracks, crevices, baseboards, and windowsills throughout the bedroom, and the two adjacent rooms, with a knockdown aerosol product. This application flushes the cockroaches out of hiding, into the growth regulator, and rapidly exterminates them. Lastly, we installed a number monitoring devices and then scheduled several follow-up inspections to monitor the cockroach infestation and apply any additional treatments if needed.Cockroaches Found in the Bedroom in Bridgewater, NJ
