During a spring service for a new Home Protection Plan client in Princeton Junction, NJ, we found something interesting - a broken dryer exhaust vent! Although this may not seem like a huge ordeal for the homeowner, in actuality, this opening presents an opportunity for rodents, squirrels, and other pests to infest the home! Continuing our inspection, we found a few more openings around several utility pipes as well as a hole in the window frame in the basement. We brought all of these issues to the homeowners attention and mentioned that our Nuisance Wildlife Division can install a new, sturdy dryer vent cover. The homeowner liked that idea and will contact our Nuisance Wildlife Division after our visit and replace the broken window frame ASAP. In the meantime, we stuffed all the openings around the utility pipes with chew proof, stainless steel metal mesh. Afterward, we sealed them with a waterproof, premium adhesive. Once the dryer vent and the window are repaired the home will be properly sealed off from rodents. Several Entry Points for Mice Found Around Home in Princeton Junction, NJ
