As this homeowner in Milltown, NJ was cleaning out his garage, he noticed something interesting in the wooden door frames, termites! After seeing us service his neighbors home a while back, he decided to give us a call to treat his property. An appointment was made and we were sent out to inspect and treat! First, we started drilling around the exterior of the home to install our termite bait stations, making sure to space the holes about 10 to 20 feet apart from one another. After drilling, we installed Sentricon® and made sure that they’re sufficiently below grass level so that the baiting units won't be damaged during landscaping. When termites come in contact with the Sentricon® bait system, they eat the cellulose material, unknowingly consuming an insect growth inhibitor. The termites then go on to share this "food" with their colony members. The growth inhibitor then takes over and prevents the termites from being able to molt. If they cannot molt, then the colony is exterminated. Next, we drilled into the concrete surrounding the garage and the home, since termite live beneath the soil, and then injected a liquid termiticide. This product will bind to the treated area and create a protective zone that the termites can’t detect. They will come in contact with the termiticide as they go about their normal routines and transfer it throughout their colony. In a short amount of time, the termites are exterminated. Now the home is protected from termites for many years to come!Termites Found in the Detached Garage in Milltown, NJ
